My paintings are the result of endurance and transformation. The work I do is the result of the decision to get up every day despite the drumbeat of the horrific found in politics, the news, on social media and search for the brightness, the joy, and the beauty that coexists in this arc of life and existence. I choose instead to focus on possibility, on positive solutions to challenges at every level both personal and societal. I look to find inspiration in life and in those who persevere, however imperfect that my reach to do so may be at times.
Pointillism, divisionism or dots and dabs of paint are my primary method of engaging in this process and dialogue. A mirroring in artistic technique of the analogous connection that I, as do we all, share with each other, the surrounding world and with the cosmos at our most basic levels of chemical composition and structure.
